General Information: A mask is required to enter our office. Due to social distancing requirements, we are limiting our lobby to 2 persons at a time. Temperatures will be taken with a self-service temperature scanner located in our lobby. If you need to fill out your application or finish any paperwork, please use the table outside of our lobby door under the video monitor. We also have a drop box outside our lobby door if you wish to just drop off your plans / permit submittals.
Plan / Permit Submittal: In addition to bringing submittals into our office, plan / permit submittals will still be accepted via Mail, FedEx / UPS, or the Drop Box available outside our door during normal business hours. Our forms and information on submittal requirements can be found on our website. Fees can be paid with check submitted with the plans, or with Credit Card via our website (please email us a copy of the receipt if paying by credit card).
Plan Reviews: Plan Reviews are currently continuing as normal.
Plan Pickup: ALL Plan / Permit pickups must be scheduled so we can have your plans ready and to ensure proper social distancing in our small lobby. Please CALL our office to schedule a plan pickup – we will not schedule pickups via email. You will be contacted once your plan has been approved / a building permit has been issued. You can schedule you Plan Pickup at that time, or you may call in at a later date to schedule your plan pickup. Contractors who may have more than one project, please supply us with a list of projects you will be picking up when you schedule your pickup time to ensure that we have all plans ready when you arrive.
Inspections: Please call our office to schedule inspections. Inspections are continuing as mainly in-person inspections, but we may need to schedule some remote inspections depending on the situation.
In-person inspections: Our Inspectors are required to wear a mask and to maintain a 6’ distance as much as possible. If possible, please wear a mask during your inspection and try to maintain the 6’ separation. Currently, we are asking that only one person accompany the Inspector on the inspection. Our Inspectors reserve the right to end an inspection / require a remote inspection if anyone at the location is exhibiting symptoms.
Remote inspections: Google Meet is the preferred video conference platform. You do not have to have a Google account to participate in a Google Meet video conference. The day of your scheduled inspection, your inspector will call to give you an estimated time for your remote inspection. Someone with a smartphone or tablet capable of video conferencing and with internet access must be available at the site. The inspector will then call or text you around your estimated inspection time to initiate the video conferencing. Please note that our Inspector’s phone numbers show up as Private or Restricted.
Please note that this is a developing public health situation and we are continuing to monitor the situation. We reserve the right to make changes to this policy as necessary to protect employees and public health.
