Records

Our Records Department enters all criminal reports, summonses, traffic citations, and accident reports into the computer. The originals are filed and stored. These documents are then kept until they can be destroyed, according to the retention schedule approved by the State Auditor's Office.

All arrestee information is entered into a computer and is permanent, with the exception of expungement orders from the Courts.

Upon request, we provide the public, news media, insurance companies and other law enforcement agencies, with copies of reports or arrest information, provide criminal background checks, and fingerprinting for the general public. To make a public records request, please contact Captain James Sweat
